Often referred to as Iceland's second city, Akureyri offers an array of cultural attractions in a scenic setting.
Start off your visit on the 26th (Tue): play a few rounds at Akureyri Golf Club, see the interesting displays at The Aviation Museum, and then soothe aching muscles at some of the top local wellness centers. On the 27th (Wed), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: contemplate the long history of Saurbaejarkirkja, then pause for some serene contemplation at Catholic Church (Katholska Kirkjan), then indulge your thirst for a good beer at Bruggsmidjan Kaldi Brewery, and finally cool off at Swimming Pool Dalvik.

You can do a combination of bus and flight from Vik to Akureyri in 7 hours. Other options are to drive; or take a bus. Traveling from Vik in March, Akureyri is slightly colder at night with lows of 27°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Wed) to allow enough time to drive to Husavik.
