Enjoy cultural, historical, and culinary exploration during your holiday in Bangkok, the capital of Thailand and the most populous city in the country.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Temple Of Dawn (Wat Arun) and Khaosan Road. Built on a large scale by a king needing to impress and rebuild after defeat in battle, Mandalay deserves exploration.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Kuthodaw Pagoda & the World's Largest Book and Shwenandaw Monastery. Go for a jaunt from Mandalay to Mingun to see Ayeyarwaddy River about 1h 15 min away. There's much more to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Pahtodawgyi, take some stellar pictures from Mandalay Hill, make a trip to Tingaza Kyaung Monestary, and admire the landmark architecture of Pahtodawgyi Pagoda.

The thousands of temples at Bagan rise up from the plain, each with their own history, style, and spiritual meaning.
Start off your visit on the 14th (Thu): take in the spiritual surroundings of Shwezigon Pagoda, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Dhammayan Gyi Temple, then contemplate the long history of Shwesandaw Pagoda, and finally steep yourself in history at Bagan Temples. On your second day here, contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Ananda Temple, soar above the sights with a balloon tour, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Sulamani Guphaya Temple.

Although Myanmar moved its capital to Naypyidaw in 2005, Yangon remains the largest city and commercial hub in the country.
Get some cultural insight at Shwedagon Pagoda and Chaukhtatgyi Buddha. When in Yangon (Rangoon), make a side trip to see Bogyoke Aung San Market in Pabedan, approximately Pabedan away. There's still lots to do: take in the spiritual surroundings of Botahtaung Pagoda, look for gifts at Retroretro, get engrossed in the history at Musmeah Yeshua Synagogue, and contemplate the waterfront views at Inya Lake.
