On the 19th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Mirador de Kari, Piedra del Coyote, then don't miss a visit to Yerbas Buenas Petroglyphs, then take in the dramatic natural features at Piedras Rojas, and finally head outdoors with Ojos del Salar.

Emptiness surrounds the desert outpost of Uyuni, the gateway to the world's largest salt flats.
Take a break from Uyuni with a short trip to Museo de la Llama y la Sal in Colchani, about 54 minutes away. There's lots more to do: explore the striking landscape at Salar de Uyuni, pause for some serene contemplation at Iglesia San Cristobal Lipez, head off the coast to Isla Incahuasi, and don't miss a visit to Plaza Arce.

Getting from San Pedro de Atacama to Uyuni by combination of bus and taxi takes about 11.5 hours. Other options: drive; or take a bus. When traveling from San Pedro de Atacama in May, plan for cooler days and about the same nights in Uyuni: temperatures range from 37°F by day to 37°F at night. Cap off your sightseeing on the 22nd (Tue) early enough to travel to La Paz.

Capital of the Inca Empire for three centuries, World Heritage-listed Cusco is now a major tourist destination, drawing nearly 2 million annual tourists with its well-preserved colonial architecture and proximity to Machu Picchu.
Rainbow Mountain Cusco has been added to your itinerary. Step out of Cusco to go to Pisac and see Pisac, which is approximately 1h 15 min away. And it doesn't end there: steep yourself in history at Sacsayhuaman, wander the streets of San Blas, explore the ancient world of Q'enqo, and admire the striking features of Centro Historico De Cusco.

The time zone difference moving from Bolivia Time (BOT) to Peru Standard Time (PET) is minus 1 hour. Traveling from La Paz in May, expect Cusco to be a bit warmer, temps between 69°F and 39°F. Finish your sightseeing early on the 27th (Sun) so you can travel to Machu Picchu.

Founded in 1535 by Spanish explorer Francisco Pizarro, Lima represents an interesting blend of modern attractions and preserved colonial architecture, much of it clustered in the World Heritage-listed city center.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sat): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Cathedral of Lima, get to know the fascinating history of Centro Historico de Lima, then ponder the design of Plaza de Armas (Plaza Mayor), then get engrossed in the history at Museo Convento San Francisco y Catacumbas, and finally stroll around Circuito Magico Del Agua. Keep things going the next day: take a stroll through Barranco and then explore the ancient world of Huaca Pucllana.
