Create an itinerary including Jallianwala Bagh
Visit the memorial garden of Jallianwala Bagh, a public park that houses the monument to the 1919 Jallianwala Bagh massacre, when British forces opened fire on unarmed civilians celebrating the Punjabi new year. The memorial was established in 1951 by the Indian government, to serve as a somber reminder of the tragedy in which an estimated 1,000 people lost their lives. You can still view numerous bullet marks on the preserved walls of the site, a reminder that a number of people also drowned while trying to escape the bullets. With our custom trip planner, Amritsar attractions like Jallianwala Bagh can be center stage of your vacation plans, and you can find out about other attractions like it, unlike it, near it, and miles away.

  • Situated right on the heritage street, you must visit once. Very well maintained place. Its walking distance from Shri Darbar Sahib.

  • This garden is a monument to such a great tragedy. This is the kind of history we never get in school. Very moving.

  • Had a great time here after visiting beautiful golden temple ❤️ this place is good to hangout and explore some historic great stories. And the place has been restored but I don't think it should have been restored because the real historic look gives some straight sight of reality. Some historic places should not be restored. But whatever done is okay. Good to visit.
  • Excellent flashback to an important piece of history. The audio video laser shows are mind blowing and transport you to that day. Visit the museum, say your prayers in Golden Temple next door and come back for the sound and light show. Go back to see the Golden Temple in all it's lit finery. Everything is free and so well maintained. I can't wait to go back
