Kothaligad (Peth) Fort, Karjat Town

Amazing place to be with family and friends both! It's a small and doable trek with beautiful scenery! Best time to go is during monsoons as there are waterfalls everywhere... Although it is tough to go to a waterfall, I highly recommend going as the experience is crazy goodd

This is not the place wherein you can visit during monsoon especially for the actual trekkers.The frogs who comes out only during the monsoon they can visit anytime because there is a difference of purpose between the actual trekkers and monsoon frogs.The reason behind not to visit monsoon because it gets foggy everywhere and you won't be able to explore because of that.No doubt about the nature and scenic view,its astonishing and beautiful.There some waterfalls too but need to be very cautious. If you have a bike or car you would be able to reach at base village and then it's hardly take 45-50 mins to get on top. Beginners definitely can think to start with this fort. There are some cannons and water tanks and temple in a huge cave. The cave acquire big space and people can stay there easily. Lastly it's a beautiful fort to explore history.
