Watch the water gush out of the Pandoh Lake through Pandoh Dam, an embankment dam on the Beas River set amidst green hills. The 76 m (249 ft) tall dam features four large water tunnels and it is connected to a 38 km (24 mi) long system of tunnels and channels. Spot for a photo opportunity and enjoy a sweeping view of the lake and forested slopes. The road following the river valley has a number of observation decks.     This dam is on the way when you are traveling from Shimla to Manali.This dam produces hydro power as well.On view point our car stopped for 5 to 10 minutes and we have taken some pictures.

    We passed through Pandoh dam on our trip from Shimla to Manali and on our return trip to Delhi. It offered some majestic views. Read that the water from this dam is used for generating electricity.
