Watching over the Arabian Sea, Gateway of India stands as perhaps the city's most recognizable symbol. The imposing gate, which reaches a height of 26 m (85 ft), reminds visitors of the grand architectural legacy the British colonial empire left behind. Note that the basalt gate fuses several different architectural styles, including Roman triumphal features and local Hindu and Muslim aspects. You can wander through the gate to view the domed ceiling and see the inscription above the arch, dedicated to the visit of King George V and Queen Mary in 1911.     Still the iconic site for Mumbai. Visited at 4 PM and spent 1 hour easily. You can feed pigeons too. It is very therapeutic. Click some photos, and ride a ferry. Pocket friendly. Be aware of parking spots nearby and use them.

    Worth to visit. One of the oldest monuments of this region. Historical place. Nice views. Great architecture. Beautifully managed. Safety and security is great. Public convenience available here is average. Easy accessible. Favourite place of tourist. Very prominent in India, nowadays world famous too. One can feel the nature specially beauty of sea and it's sound here.
