Create an itinerary including Vermanes Garden
The oldest public garden in town, Vermanes Garden features large grassy areas, fountains, and playgrounds. When it opened in 1817, the site featured exotic trees and a restaurant. Today the 5 hectare (12 acre) park is home to new cafes and restaurants in a verdant setting where locals gather to play chess and enjoy a bit of nature. You can tour the park by kayak along the small river that flows by. A number of free events occur here during the year. • The lengthy green park area that includes Vermanes Garden is a treasure in Riga. The flowers, bridges, cafes and interesting buildings line the garden and make it an oasis in the city.

  • park located in the center of Riga, always clean, green areas to sit, organized, typical Latvian trees, always have events happening inside the park... great for children, a big and fun playground, several entrances and facilities for wheelchair users. ..just the public toilets which are not so clean. But it is a beautiful park to relax, work, meditate, exercise. I recommend
  • I went to Vermane Garden yesterday and had a good time there, but as a Muslim, I was saddened because I saw bibles on the bench and people throwing them away. It's a holy book, and I feel bad about how you people are treating the Holy Book that was revealed to Jesus (A.S). Consider how you will gain care, respect from humanity if you do not respect the holy scriptures. Consider for a moment. Those books are with me, and I'm going to deposit them in a library. I've also attached the photos.
