7 days in Goa, Gokarna & Dandeli Itinerary

On India's western coastline, the former Portuguese colony of Goa tells a visibly different story than the rest of India.

Goa is known for beaches, historic sites, and shopping. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: enjoy the sand and surf at Agonda Beach, stroll through Benaulim Beach, revel in the low prices at Din Brothers Jewellers and Gold Smiths, and relax and rejuvenate at Goa Healing Center.

Bengaluru to Goa is an approximately 3.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and taxi. When traveling from Bengaluru in April, plan for slightly colder days and somewhat warmer nights in Goa: temperatures range from 36°C by day to 34°C at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 11th (Tue) so you can go by car to Gokarna.

Kick off your visit on the 12th (Wed): stroll through Paradise Beach, tour the pleasant surroundings at Kudle Beach, then enjoy the sand and surf at Om Beach, and finally explore the fascinating underground world of Shiva Cave. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Mahabaleswara Temple.

You can drive from Goa to Gokarna in 3.5 hours. Another option is to take a train. Cap off your sightseeing on the 13th (Thu) early enough to go by car to Dandeli.

On the 14th (Fri), take some stellar pictures from Sykes Point and then make a trip to Syntheri Rock.

You can drive from Gokarna to Dandeli in 3.5 hours. In April, plan for daily highs up to 43°C, and evening lows to 23°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 14th (Fri) to allow enough time to drive back home.
