Iceland's southernmost village, Vik, sports some of the country's wildest and most dramatic coastline.
Popular historic sites such as Reyniskirkja Church and Rutshellir Cave are in your itinerary. Kids will enjoy Black Sand Beach and Voyages Friendship Statue. Venture out of the city with trips to Kirkjubaejarklaustur (Fjadrargljufur Canyon & Scenic Green Lava Walk) and Seljalandsfoss - Waterfall (in Hella). There's still lots to do: kick back and relax at Reynisfjara Beach, examine the collection at Skogar Museum, admire the sheer force of Skogafoss, and explore the striking landscape at Dyrhólaey.

On the 18th (Tue), get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, shop like a local with Laugavegur, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Hallgrimskirkja.
